  • Kasey Mumford Veteran Provocatus

    Kasey Mumford

    CEO

    Kasey is an experienced leader who commenced her career as a Maritime Warfare Officer in the Royal Australian Navy before transitioning to the Reserve Forces where she was employed in Navy Health Reserve. Following her tenure in the ADF, Kasey held management roles in Professional Services and Australian Defence Industry, and also operated her own consulting practice which focused on compliance, risk and strategy. More recently, Kasey established a private health care facility in the Illawarra Region of NSW amongst business partners.

    Kasey is a graduate of the Australian Defence Force Academy and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (University of New South Wales), Graduate Diploma of Commerce (Deakin University), and an Executive Masters’ of Business Administration (University of Wollongong).

    During her service in the RAN, she received the Australian Active Service Medal for East Timor, with clasps for the International Coalition Against Terrorism (ICAT), and Iraq (2003). She also received campaign medals for Iraq and Afghanistan. She has been awarded the Australian Operational Service Medal for Boarder Protection, the Australian Defence Medal and Return from Active Service badge.

    Melinda Horton

    BOARD CHAIR & DIRECTOR

    Melinda is an experienced director, executive and leadership coach and holds a Masters of Business Administration (Executive) from Sydney Business School.  She worked in corporate roles in manufacturing and industry for over a decade and has been a business owner for more than 25 years.  

    She is an experienced Executive, Director, Business Owner, Change Manager, Coach and Facilitator who has operational experience across corporate, manufacturing, mining, supply chain and logistics. Her foundation is based on more than 30 years of engagements that started with learning and development assignments, including the change management and training of major IT systems implementations, and ultimately expanded into management and leadership positions. 

    Melinda works with leaders and emerging leaders to navigate the ever-increasing demands of the changing business environment. She is passionate about values-based leadership and supporting the development of increased self-awareness and accountability that is fundamental to high performing individuals and teams. Melinda's work ethic, business acumen and people skills are strengths that have allowed her to support her teams, colleagues and clients to embed strategic change and deliver outcomes. 

  • Scott Corrigan Provocatus Director Veteran Advisory

    Scott Corrigan CSC

    DIRECTOR VETERAN ADVISORY

    Scott is a senior executive with 30 years of proven leadership and management experience in the design, development, evaluation and implementation of solutions to complex threat environments; capability and training development; and organisational risk challenges. 

    He has a vested interest in the welfare of Serving and Veteran personnel and their families—derived from 23 years’ service in the Australian Army and over a decade of post-Service commitment to Defence through industry; State / Federal government; and Ex-Service Organisation membership. 

    Scott’s formal qualifications include a Masters of Management and Defence Studies from the University of Canberra (2005) and a Bachelor of Science from the University of New South Wales (1992).

    He also holds numerous military specialist qualifications and was awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross (CSC) in the Australia Day Honours list (2013) for his work within the Australian Special Operations Command.

  • Marcus Heiner Pharmaceutical Advisor Provocatus

    Marcus Heiner

    DIRECTOR, PHARMACEUTICAL ADVISORY

    Marcus is an experienced and passionate clinical pharmacist who has worked to improve healthcare within the community, achieving a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from University of Sydney (2008).

    Since 2010, Marcus has been a registered clinical review pharmacist which involves an expanded understanding of pharmacology and therapeutic treatment guidelines to improve patient outcomes.

    Marcus is also the owner of Capital Chemist Bathurst (formerly John Matthews & Co Pharmacy) and has an interest in several other pharmacies in a support role. He is passionate about the role community pharmacy can play in improving healthcare throughout Australia, as well as assisting young pharmacists achieve business ownership.

    To this end, Marcus has sat on a number of corporate boards such as the Central West Division of General Practice and Capital Chemist Canberra Pty Ltd and holds advisory roles such as the Charles Stuart University - Pharmacy Advisory Committee, and has presented at over 100 community groups and functions (including RSL), with the goal being to improve health literacy within the community.

  • Dr Michael Mumford Medical Director Provocatus

    Dr Michael Mumford MBBS FRACGP

    MEDICAL DIRECTOR

    Michael is the Principal General Practitioner at Medical Professionals Dapto and Southern Cross Pain Clinic. He has a special interest in veteran healthcare, including providing treatment to eligible patients suffering service-related chronic pain and mental health conditions.

    Michael commenced his career as a Combat Engineer in the Royal Australian Engineering Corps (RAE). After 10 years of service, Michael decided on a career change and commenced medical studies at the University of Wollongong in 2008, completing a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and undertaking further training at hospitals across New South Wales.

    During his tenure in the Army, Michael deployed to East Timor (2003) and Afghanistan (2005/6) as part of the Special Operations Task Group (SOTG). He has been awarded the Australian Active Service Medal for East Timor and the International Coalition Against Terrorism (ICAT). Michael has also received a Unit Citation for Gallantry, the United Nations Medal (East Timor), Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Australian Defence Medal, Defence Long Service Medal and Returned from Active Service Badge.
