Provocatus stands with Forge Through: a unique program for Veterans and First Responders
At Provocatus, we’re dedicated to supporting initiatives that make a genuine impact for veterans and first responders.
That’s why we’re proud to support Forge Through, an inspiring program founded by veteran Dean Hamilton that’s creating real change in the lives of ex-servicemen and women, located in Bolaro NSW.
Forge Through welcomes all veterans, first responders, and anyone who has faced mental health challenges, offering a supportive space to connect.
After experiencing his own challenges post-service, Dean understood the mental toll many veterans endure. With a passion for metalwork, he launched Forge Through to give veterans a chance to experience blacksmithing by creating their very own knives by hand, often turning something old and weathered into something new and useful.
Dean’s vision is simple but powerful: create a space where veterans can “forge through” their struggles, surrounded by mates who understand. Every piece crafted in their workshops is a symbol of resilience, and each session strengthens the bonds that help veterans and first responders on their mental health journeys.
Supporting organisations who support Veterans
To mark the occasion, a fellow veteran from Forge Through visited our office in Wollongong NSW for an official handover.
This gesture symbolises our appreciation for this partnership and reinforces our commitment to supporting the health and well-being of Australian veterans.
We look forward to sharing more about Forge Through and celebrating the incredible work they’re doing for our veteran community.

Our contribution
This year, Provocatus aims to support the Forge Through mission by providing essential safety resources: a CellAED defibrillator and a first aid kit from the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
This essential kit will help ensure the safety of participants during Forge Through’s workshops.
Provocatus is excited to support a program that directly benefits veterans and their well-being. Providing these resources is a small way for us to stand beside Forge Through and the important work they do.
Contact Forge Through on Facebook to learn more about their program, visit their website or email admin@forgethrough.org for more information.
