General Practitioners & Prescribers

Veteran health.
Our shared mission.

Empower your practice to support veterans

Partner with Provocatus to provide holistic care for Australian veterans and first responders.

The Veteran Access Scheme™ bridges healthcare gaps for veterans and first responders, offering accessible treatment options for service-related conditions and expert insights to doctors.

GP Training & Education

General practitioners (GPs) play a vital role in supporting the health of veterans.

GPs provide comprehensive care that includes preventive health checks, managing chronic conditions, coordinating referrals to specialised services including psychology, exercise physiology, and referrals to other allied health professionals in accordance with individual needs.

Provocatus can support GPs by providing high-quality medicines for chronic conditions and aiding in the approval processes through the DVA system, ensuring veterans receive long term, effective care.

Work with us on transforming lives, building trust, expertise and support for the veterans in our communities.

As Provocatus, a major focus is to help general practitioners and prescribers to deliver compassionate and comprehensive health care for Australian veterans and first responders.

Since 2022 we have:

Supported 1,200+ veterans

Provided $450,000 in medication assistance

Given $15,000 in charitable donations in 2024

Why join our Doctors Community of Practice?

The biggest barrier, I find, is someone who understands the veteran. Finding a prescriber or doctor who knows the veteran and what they’ve been through, the medications they’re on and knows the DVA system...

At Provocatus, we work with doctors to gain confidence and navigate the system in a safe and ethical manner.

How to join the GP Community of Practice

AHPRA registered GPs please follow the following steps:

“I must say, I have always found Provocatus to be highly ethical and strong on the concept of local Dr and local Pharmacist, thus locally managed for which Provocatus contribute to… whilst educating other’s about Veterans health and options available to optimise care- even providing nursing support for Veterans from other clinics and informing primary clinicians regarding contact with their Veteran patient.”
