The Veteran Access Scheme™ is our unique program at Provocatus, dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of Australian Defence Force (ADF) veterans.
As an Australian and Veteran Owned medical and pharmaceutical company, we have designed the Veteran Access Scheme to address the specific health challenges faced by veterans.
The Veteran Access Scheme™ helps to alleviate the financial and logistical burdens that often accompany healthcare for veterans, ensuring they receive timely and effective care.
The Veteran Access Scheme™
Our mission is to improve veteran health outcomes by supporting veterans, their families and healthcare teams to manage the impact of service-related health conditions.
The purpose of the Veteran Access Scheme™ is to provide direct and indirect support to Australian veterans by the provision of the program’s four pillars of care.
The objective is to empower veterans by providing health education and a network of support, while working alongside the ESO’s and other primary care health care professionals surrounding them.
As part of our commitment to Australian Veteran Health, we provide compassionate access to essential medical treatments and comprehensive care.
Our mission
The success of the Veteran Access Scheme™
We launched the Veteran Access Scheme™ in February 2022 to alleviate a health equity issue in Australia by providing compassionate access to plant medicine treatment for ADF veterans suffering from service-related pain and health conditions.
Providing medication through the Veteran Access Scheme™ was designed to give veterans immediate treatment at either no cost, or a subsidised rate, while the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) completed their claims assessment process.
The success of the Veteran Access Scheme™ led to its growth beyond just plant medicine treatment in October 2023, allowing us to offer a greater level of care beyond simply the medical and pharmaceutical support.
The Veteran Access Scheme™ now incorporates the four pillars of care: Medications, Appliances, Clinical Wellness, and Health Education.
