Provocatus Partners with Capital Chemist Pharmacy Group to Deliver the Veteran Access Scheme

Capital Chemist Southlands, Mawson ACT

CAPITAL Chemist, located in Mawson, ACT, has joined forces with veteran-owned pharmaceutical company Provocatus to bring enhanced healthcare solutions to veterans dealing with chronic pain. This collaboration marks an important milestone, as both organisations are deeply committed to supporting veterans’ health and providing access to compassionate, effective treatment options.

Andrew Topp, Business Manager for the Capital Chemist Group, expressed the group’s dedication to helping veterans access the most suitable medications and therapies to manage their conditions. “Veterans have done so much for this country and deserve all the support to help manage often complex and debilitating conditions,” he stated. This partnership aligns with Capital Chemist’s mission to provide quality healthcare for all, especially those who have served Australia.

In 2022, Provocatus launched an Australian-first compassionate access program called the Veteran Access Scheme™. This initiative was created in response to the health equity challenges faced by Australian veterans, recognising the barriers they often encounter when seeking effective treatment. The Veteran Access Scheme™ offers veterans access to comprehensive healthcare options, helping to bridge the gap in support for chronic pain management and other service-related health issues. Provocatus is honoured to work alongside organisations like Capital Chemist that share a vision of equitable healthcare for veterans.

To date, the Veteran Access Scheme™ has assisted more than 300 veterans across Australia, helping them access tailored treatment options that fit their individual needs. The program has also raised over $250,000 to subsidise these treatments, alleviating the financial burden for veterans who may otherwise struggle to afford the care they require. By collaborating with Capital Chemist, Provocatus aims to extend the reach of the Veteran Access Scheme™ and continue providing high-quality, accessible healthcare to those who have given so much in service to the nation.
