DVA patients have complex clinical care requirements

There is a significant cohort of younger DVA patients, with complex healthcare needs that require appropriate and ethical long-term clinical treatment.

As a veteran-owned business, we are acutely aware of the significant health and wellbeing issues within this cohort, and we strongly support the provision of gold standard healthcare for these patients.

We believe this standard of healthcare may be exemplified using a community-based healthcare model, where care teams understand DVA and connect the patient to local services.

We have modelled the Veteran Access Scheme around this standard, encompassing four pillars of care including medication, appliances, clinical wellness and education in DVA literacy for healthcare providers.

Ongoing engagement with DVA and Veteran Health Services

Engagement with DVA and other veteran organisations is paramount to the success of a gold standard of clinical care for DVA patients.

By engaging with existing ex-service organisations and clinical teams, veterans feel supported by clinicians and practitioners working in partnership to support a multi-faceted approach to veteran health care.

Partnerships

The Clinical Wellness pillar of the Provocatus Veteran Access Scheme partners with medical and allied health professionals to provide compassionate access to treatment for ADF veterans suffering service-related pain and health conditions.

Partnering with ex-service organisations for better health outcomes

There are a range of ex-service organisations that deliver health and wellbeing programs catering for DVA patients including surfing, knife-making and physical fitness programs that are aligned with the Provocatus clinical wellness objectives.

If you are part of an ex-service veteran health organisation or are from an Australian organisation providing plant-based medicine and you would like to work with us to support DVA patients with their health and wellbeing, please contact us
